over the hump day

I found this quiz on Carmel's blog. It is a pretty good blog, you should check it out!

You are St Brigid's Cross: St. Brigid is an Irish saint who hand-wove a cross, out of rushes she found by the river. She made the cross while explaining the passion of our Lord to a pagan man.

I thought it was neat!

So I went to visit my grandparents last night. It was a pretty good visit. They of course needed all of their electronics fixed, which was not a problem. And my Papa gave me what was left of this package of string cheese. He said he just did not like it, Looking somewhat skeptical, because I know that he did not know what it was, I asked him how he ate it.... He replied that he wrapped it up in a piece of lunch meat, and just ate it, but that it was really chewy. And here is my Papa making this aweful face as he described how chewy it was. I could not help but laugh, as I showed him how to eat string cheese. He was just like, no that's alright you take it, I don't like it.

The Hummingbird Hawk Moth Right here for your viewing pleasure. It looks like a humming bird, but if you look closely you will see that it has antennas, unlike the bird.

Well I guess it is over the hump day. The weekend is drawing near, and I am not looking forward to it. I have two tests next week. I feel prepared for niether, but that could just be the perfectionist in me, driving what is left of my sanity right over the edge.

I am going to the gym after class today. I have not been able to go since last week, so this should prove to be a bit of a challenge. We shall see if I can handle the wieght I was at, after a week break from training.

I think I am going to borrow an idea from one of my blog pals listed under friends. MBTankersley, took the time to introduce some of the people he had listed in his blog roll, and I think that is a good idea. I have some really cool blogs that I have become somewhat addicted to. So I think I will have to be thinking about what I want to write about each of you!

We are doing Wendy's for lunch. This is exciting because there really is not a Wendy's in this small town. But someone has offered to drive the 15 miles to get there, order lunch and bring it back... Ah, excitement in a small town... We'll be back with "What we are having for lunch, after these messages..."

I think men go through something similar to PMS.... Like perhaps MMS, (Mean Man Syndrome) Because sometimes for no reason apparent, men have these mood swings. I would say very similar to a woman's PMS mood swing. It is not a bad thing, but I think it is funny that there is no name for it. Anyways. A friend of mine seemed to be having a MMS day, and nothing we did seemed to cheer him up. How do you get through to a guy. With a woman it is easy, buy her chocolate... Why is it that men pull into their little man cave and try to sort through whatever is bothering them, on their own?

Blog ya later...

Cool! I got a link. By the way, the last four letters of my name are s-l-E-y. That's ok though- I'll let you get away with it. No MMS here...

Thanks for the plug! I think St.Brigids cross has a neat history, I only found out last month when I went to an Irish festival.
Good luck on those tests too!
